Buyer Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Umart. These Buyer Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Umart platform ("Platform") as a customer purchasing goods from vendors. By using the Platform via WhatsApp or our website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Placing Orders

When you place an order, you agree to pay the stated price for the goods, including any applicable delivery fees. All orders are subject to availability and vendor acceptance. Payments are processed securely via our payment partners.

3. Delivery and Fulfillment

You may choose to have items delivered by a campus rider or opt for a vendor meet-up (if supported). You agree to provide accurate location details or be present at the agreed meet-up location. If you fail to show up, the vendor may cancel the order in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.

4. Escrow and Buyer Protection

For your security, your payment is held in escrow until you confirm receipt of the item or the system auto-confirms delivery after a set period. If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, you must raise a dispute via the WhatsApp bot immediately before delivery is confirmed.

5. Conduct

You agree to treat all vendors and riders with respect. Any form of harassment, fraud, or abuse of the Platform will result in immediate suspension of your account.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
